Turritella Agate is a rich, earthy brown or black stone, recognised by the fossilised sea creatures and snail patterns within the stone. The name Agate comes from the Achetes River in Sicily, where it was first found.
Metaphysically, Agate has a lower intensity and vibrates to a slower frequency than other stones, but is highly regarded as a stabilising and strengthening influence. It is a survival stone, one of strength and protection. Ancient life held within its form lends the power of wisdom and healing.
